Dynasty SS19 Opening Day

I usually try to organise one gathering per month at most, and while it’s only been less than a month since our recent gathering in Kozie Krafts SS17, the opening of Dynasty SS19 was a good opportunity for our members to have some fun and explore new food in Subang Jaya.

Dynasty was already crowded by the time I arrived around 8:30AM, which was no surprise.

The owners of Dynasty were supportive and gave our members a generous allocation of free food. Our members set about trying the different stalls in Dynasty SS19.

Some of us doubled up as organisers, compiling orders for our members too.

I was rushing around making sure everything was okay and didn’t really get to try the food, but I did notice that the Johor Kway Teow Kia stall was getting a lot of attention and sold out quickly.

As with every gathering I organise, the nerves and anxiety I feel to ensure everybody has a satisfactory experience means I lose my appetite for a day or two.

I did manage to order some chicken closer to lunch time and found it amusing that our members were sampling the food off my order too. It’s always a great thing to see people bonding and connecting over food.

The lion dance was great fun too.

Some folks have rightfully commented that the parking situation in SS19 can be challenging (like most places in Subang). Fortunately the local council is upgrading the very old adjacent food court, and there will be additional parking lots there soon. While it won’t totally resolve the challenge of getting a parking spot, it will hopefully alleviate some of pressure.

The old food court will offer additional parking lots after the renovations are done.

All in all, I think it’s a good first day for Dynasty SS19. The first day hiccups were kept to a minimum, and operations should continue to improve. The owner of Dynasty has always been proactive in addressing the concerns and feedback from our group, and I’m happy that she’s shared this message to our community.

Good day my fellow food fans, I am the person who is responsible for Dynasty SS19, firstly, I would like to thank each and every one of u that were able to come and participate in yesterday’s grand opening of Restaurant Dynasty SS19, I myself was overwhelmed with patrons from Subang, USJ and even from Wangsa Maju, Puchong, Shah Alam and many other parts, u guys made the day event such an awesome and memorable day for the team and myself.

I am proud to host u, but I sincerely wish to Apologise for all the short coming such as, having little walk space, hot climate on both sides even on the air con section, service slow to clean the dirty tables, slow in taking orders for drinks as well as certain food taste not up to standard.

I hear you, rest assured I will tackle each one of the mentioned feedback and improve in the coming days, I humbly request and hope that you forgive us on our shortcomings and do not write us off yet. Dynasty SS19 will bounce back and provide u with great service and food in the coming days.

I do appreciate each and every feedback as its vital to me to keep you into coming back to us again. Once again, please forgive me and hope to see you again at Restaurant Dynasty SS19.

As for the SubangFood community, I’m happy to see that we’ve given them a warm welcome to SS19 and believe we should continue to provide constructive feedback to them. They’ve always been receptive to feedback from our community, and I believe it’s their attitude to continually improve that will allow them to build on their momentum from USJ 2 and continue to succeed in SS19.

One of the conversations in the community summed up the way I feel how our community should be a force for good in the Subang food scene. I will share more thoughts on this soon. Until then, this is the way.

I haven’t had the opportunity to try most of the food at Dynasty SS19, as there is only so much I can eat in a day, but I look forward to trying the many stalls at Dynasty SS19 over the next few weeks.

PS: If you’d like to chat with the SubangFood community, do join our Discord server. Invites to future events are always sent out via email and to our Discord server first.

I’ve taken some (but not all) photos of the stalls, as I’m sure many members are curious what is available there.
