Fundraising

SJ Beacon operates a free ambulance service for emergencies in Subang Jaya between 8AM and 8PM daily. As it’s a community-funded service, they occasionally need to fundraise and this time I’m hoping our thriving SubangFood Facebook community can support the SJ Beacon ambulance by eating at participating restaurants in Subang.

    FAQ

Q: How long is this campaign for?

A: The Eat2Give campaign runs from 21st of October till 6th of December.

Q: Why are many of the food items drinks or desserts?

A: Good question. We designed this campaign with the intention to do our best to ensure that no party has to sacrifice. So that when community members eat to support, you’re getting a food item as a courtesy gesture from the restaurant. Just as we want you to feel good for participating in this campaign, we also want the F&B to feel good for participating too.

In the long run, we also hope that our actions of eating to support will result in the ambulance being able to support our community for the long term, effectively making this a circular activity of community good.

By designing it this way, we can get more restaurants to support this program, and therefore give us more opportunity to try different food, and also raise more funds for the ambulance.

Q: Why is there a need to register on a website for the QR code?

A: This is because we have to coordinate between multiple parties (F&B, SJ Beacon, campaign operator, SubangFood members) to ensure that the donations are properly tracked and announced for.

Q: Does all of the money raised go to SJ Beacon?

A: Yes, 100% of the funds raised will go to SJ Beacon.

    Q: I still have questions.

A: Please contact Matt on Facebook or Whatsapp.

Do you want your restaurant to join this Eat2Give campaign?

Are you an F&B who would like to join in this Eat2Give campaign? We welcome you!
