I’ve visited Rinjin Shokudo’s original outlet at Bukit Jalil a while back. It had a cozy and welcoming environment, and that comfortable ambience is evident in the new Subang Jaya store too.
Food
Food is what you’d expect of a Japanese casual dining restaurant, and I was pretty happy with the food that was served. You can tell that there was a decent amount of care and thought that went into planning the menu.
Menu
According to the staff, the menu in Subang Jaya is slightly different from the one at Bukit Jalil.
I only grabbed some photos of the menu, as it was pretty thick.
Fortunately they’ve put it up online, which is something I love. You can view the Subang Jaya menu and the lunch sets. The links should work until they change/remove it.
If the links are broken, please do let me know.
I grabbed their Christmas 2023 flyer too.

Service
I added an additional section to this article because while the food is always one of the main parts of the dining experience, the service is usually what makes a difference. In this case, Miss Tong gave us some superb service, and really brought a smile to my face.
I know staffing is a constant challenge for businesses and restaurants, but it’s great that they’re able to have staff like this.
In the end, as long as I feel happy and come out smiling from an eatery, I feel it’s a job well done.
Ambiance
Pleasant and comfortable. What you’d expect from a modern casual dining restaurant.

Location
Parking is (currently) free, which is a great advantage. I have no idea if they’re going to charge for parking in the future.
